Pistol Squats

Pistol Squats are essentially a one-legged squat with the other leg being in a straight position directly in front of you and parallel with the floor. This are an advanced move that you’ll be able to accomplish with a bit of practice and some strength-training. Start this exercise by grasping something – like the bars of a squat rack or windowsill. Even a hand on a wall can help you with balance.

Pistol Squat – holding at the bottom for a pose is not exactly straightforward – lol! This picture was actually taken about a half-second prior to being in the ‘perfect’ position. The proper position for this is to have the glutes a bit more towards the rear and the leg parallel with the ground.
